Frequently Asked Questions
Speech pathology is a scientific practice that addresses speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Is your child struggling to say “R” or string a sentence together? A speech-language pathologist addresses issues related to communication. These issues can include difficulties with articulation, fluency (like stuttering), voice quality, language comprehension and expression, and swallowing functions.
It’s never too early to start. Babies, toddlers, and school-age children can all benefit from our speech pathology services. If your child struggles with language development, articulation, or social communication, a speech pathologist can help. Early intervention often leads to better outcomes.
Speech language pathologists do more than speech assessments. They evaluate your child’s language and cognitive communication skills, while also checking their oral, feeding and swallowing abilities to identify and treat any underlying disorders.
If your child struggles with speech fluency, social communication, or language development, our speech pathologists can help. Our children speech pathology services address challenges like stuttering, delayed speech, and language difficulties.
A speech pathology assessment is all about evaluating if your child has any difficulty with speech, language and other oral activities like feeding and swallowing. After the assessment, the pathologist shares with you the results, makes recommendations and prepares an action plan to treat underlying conditions discovered in the assessment.
Whether it’s improving communication, boosting confidence, or overcoming speech disorders, Connect Allied Health is here to help. Book your consultation for our allied health services today and let’s make progress together.
